This page should rightfully show Army, Navy, Air Force-The fourth and younger brother was a heavy duty electrician- although he was never in the military, he, like his elder brothers, sacrificed his life for Canada
-MEN-
ALL STOOD UP FOR, AND UNDOUBTEDLY,  DIED FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVED. I leave out  an image of my father in an Air Force uniform, because I no longer have one of Alan Girvan in a Navy uniform.
Alasdair (shown above, in uniform and with wife Beatrice)  died of cancer, in all probability related to his military service and asbestos exposure, my father (cause of death coronary thrombosis) the same, and Alan(triple bypass surgery, lung complications) who served in the navy-later as a printer--the only one confirmed to have died from asbestos exposure was John. think about this; four brothers- all believed in and served their country-ALL had CONSIDERABLE exposure to asbestos. All died serving Canada THEIR country and THEIR home.

"In the early morning hours of 2 August 1990, three Iraqi armoured divisions invaded the neighbouring country of Kuwait. Kuwait fell quickly, and Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was then in a position to move into Saudi Arabia and assert control over the world's oil supplies. He stayed where he was, however, and within days American forces began to flow into Saudi Arabia.
On 20 August, F-117s left Tonopah to fly across the Atlantic to King Khaled Air Base in Saudi Arabia, arriving the next day. Their new home was at the southern tip of Saudi Arabia, well out of range of Iraqi Scud missiles, and was well-equipped with hardened shelters. It became known as "Tonopah East". The F-117 pilots soon began an intensive training program, since few of the pilots had combat experience in any sort of aircraft.
In the meantime, the confrontation with the Iraqis settled into a sitting war, with both sides trading propaganda and jockeying for political position. On 12 January 1991, the United States of the Americas Congress voted to allow the use of force to evict the Iraqis from Kuwait,(what in hell business was it of the United States of the Americas? They are not the world DICTATORS, though they do,, OFTEN, attempt to be so) in support of a UN resolution demanding that Saddam pull out of the country. On 15 January, the deadline specified by the UN resolution expired.

The next day, the F-117 pilots were briefed for their strikes. They would be among the leading elements in the air war, knocking out air-defence centres and other vital elements in the Iraqi war machine to allow conventional strike aircraft to make further raids unharmed. Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, was a prime target, and was defended by about 4,000 anti-aircraft guns and SAM launchers. The targets were at long range for the F-117, and the pilots would have to perform several inflight refuelling for each mission."

Air strikes target Islamic State leaders in Iraq. Nov. 08 2014, 12:25 PM EST

Last updated U.S. air strikes destroyed an Islamic State convoy near the Iraqi city of Mosul but U.S. officials said on Saturday it was unclear whether the group’s top commander Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had been in any of the 10 targeted vehicles.
Colonel Patrick Ryder, a Central Command spokesman, said the U.S. military had reason to believe that the convoy was carrying leaders of Islamic State, an al Qaeda offshoot which controls large chunks of Iraq and Syria.

The Auroras , with their cutting-edge sensors, have been a boon to coalition forces.Fisher: Canadian CF-18 fighter jets launch first attack on Islamic State targets in Iraq-Published: November 2, 2014, 5:05 pm KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait — Canadian fighter jets dropped bombs over Iraq late Sunday night, Iraqi time, Defence Minister Rob Nicholson announced in a statement from Ottawa.

“Today, Canada’s CF-18s conducted their first combat strike since joining the fight against ISIL on Oct. 30. Co-ordinated with our coalition partners, two CF-18s attacked ISIL targets with GBU12 500-pound laser-guided bombs in the vicinity of Fallujah, Iraq,” Nicholson said
“The approximately four-hour mission included air-to-air refuelling from Canada’s Polaris aircraft. All aircraft returned safely to their base.”

WHY?

Could it be (our figure head-paid for by the U.S. oil industry)Harper's, and United States of the Americas style,TERRORISM?

Canada is NOT legally at war but if Harper is claiming that we are and that the Canadian bombings IN IRAQ are legitimate acts of war; then it follows that any bombings and/or shootings that may be carried out IN CANADA are LEGITIMATE ACTS OF WAR and cannot be considered terrorism.

An unforgettable week of tragedy, valour and tribute paid to the fallen.

The RCMP says it has evidence that indicates the attack that killed a Canadian soldier in Ottawa and resulted in a gunfight on Parliament Hill was driven by ideological and political motives.

Gunman Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, 32, made a video recording of himself just before last week's attack, the RCMP said on Sunday. RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson said in a statement it was conducting a detailed analysis of the video and could not release it at this time.
A source familiar with the investigation told CBC's Chris Hall that in the video Zehaf-Bibeau appears to make specific reference to Canada's foreign policy as motivation for his actions and that he praises Allah in the recording.

Gone are the days when The United States of the Americans can--any Americans for that matter can send military troops; by air, land, or sea, into another country-commit assassinations, destroy art treasures, buildings, bridges, churches, religious artefacts, industrial complexes, mosques, thereby killing thousands of innocent people while the POLITICIANS AND GENERAL POPULOUS is able to sit back in the Americas confident that THEY are safe from the same such attack.

Tis Natures law for every action there must be an equal and opposite reaction.

The United States of The Americas made movie TORA TOTA TORA got one thing wrong-ACTUALLY REVERSED it was not Japan, China, Vietnam, Asia or the Middle East that woke up a "SLEEPING GIANT" it was the United States of the Americas.

Think about it, (not questioning any loyalties or making any accusations-there was too much racism and exactly that thing happened ALL TOO OFTEN in Canada- during World War 2): what country is the present president of the United States of the Americas originally from, What country is now the is now the largest manufacturer of automobiles and automotive products? What other county's automotive industry was recently virtually bankrupt? Who controls most of the taxicabs, and commercial trucking? From what ethnic group do most of our public transportation/bus drivers come? Who in the Americas have most of the guns and other weapons? Who is most capable of securing more? I believe it was Rudyard Kipling that said east is east and west is west and never the twain shall meet----whoever it was they were wrong. They have met and should we in the Americas get them angry enough they are very capable of--- and need no long hesitate in--- crushing us--- like a gnats.

But, WE MUST NOT ALLOW THE PRESENT BAD,BAD, BAD, to overshadow the GOOD,GOOD, GOOD, Canadians and the CANADIAN military have done in the past.©Al (Alex-Alexander) D Girvan. All Rights Reserved.
