ALREADY IN A DESPERATE
STRUGGLE TO MAKE ENDS MEET.

Which means--
THE GOVERNMENT VOTES
TO INCREASE TAXES,
YET AGAIN
BUT THEN, MAYORS ARE NOT FEDERAL OR PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT; AND TRANSLINK IS MADE UP OF A BUNCH OF BUREAUCRATS SO I GUESS, THEY DON'T REALLY COUNT--DO THEY?
CHECK OUT BC FERRIES, FOR EXAMPLE, YOU WILL FIND THAT BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA; AS A WHOLE, HAS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM--BUREAUCRATS AND VERY LUCRATIVE, TAXPAYER OWNED, GOVERNMENT SANCTIONED, BUREAUCRATIC EMPIRES.

FROM ABOVE:
"Health and basic necessity items will not be charged HST-
things like basic groceries, prescription drugs,
health, medical, and dental services,
and medical devices like hearing aides,
prescription eyewear, canes, wheelchairs, and walkers.
HST IS NOT CHARGED ON PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION and there will
BE NO INCREASE on automotive fuel,
or in energy to heat and light your home."
"Families will have more money in their pockets.
The average family will SAVE $ 120 from the old PST system.
As the rate of the HST is being reduced",
(why not just reduce the combined PST-GST to 10%?),
seniors (many of whom earn less than $20,000 per year),
earning up to $40,00 per year will receive a TRANSITION CHEQUE OF $175,
in addition to an annual HST credit of up to $ 230.
Families will receive a TRANSITION CHEQUE OF $175 for each child;
all at huge TAX PAYER EXPENSE
that would not have been necessary had the taxes not been imposed to begin with.

WHY NOT MAKE IT THE LAW THAT ALL "STATUS CARD CARRYING" SENIORS AND LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS (THOSE WITH DISABILITIES) ARE TAX EXEMPT? IF, OUR GOVERNMENTS REALLY WANTED TO DO SOMETHING TO HELP CANADIANS; THAT IS THEY WOULD DO; INSTEAD OF VOTING TO INCREASE TAXES, INCREASE INFLATION AND DRIVE THE ECONOMY INTO ANOTHER RECESSION. THEY COULD ALSO VOTE TO PLACE A TAX ON GOVERNMENT STUPIDITY THEREBY REDUCING THEIR OWN WAGES AND PENSION PLANS TO A REASONABLE LEVEL. EQUALITY FOR ALL CANADIANS.
