This blog is dedicated in tribute to our ancestors and future heirs. In many instances, it was our parents, grandparents, great-grand parents, great-great-grandparents who had the vision to build Canada and keep it Canadian. I have great respect for heritage and tradition. Were it not for our ancestral heritage, we would not exist. Our heirs enable us to live on into the future. I do believe however, that it is time we all accept the fact that born in Canada, we are all equally Canadian.

Edmonton's Last Pioneer StyleLog-cabin
The last (pioneer style) log-cabin, on a major street, of a major city, in the Western World, (as recognized by Guinness Records), was located on the South side of Jasper Avenue, between 95th and 97th streets. over the years, it seemed to just kind of sink into the ground and then, some time, about the mid seventies; it just disappeared from sight. Yes. I was in that cabin, several times over the years, when and while, there was still enough of it left to enter. Many of Edmonton's early historic buildings and or locations were in that one, rather small, really, area. I knew of, was in, ate a meal in, did work in, and quite likely, lived for a while in, most of them.
